Here is some info on how allergy elimination was started and what we use in our clinic. At the bottom of the page is a link to a PDF Allergy Reports. Please read the reports before coming to the office as they explain a lot of questions. NAET^® was discovered by Dr. Devi S. Nambudripad in November of 1983. Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques, also known as NAET, are a non-invasive, drug free, natural solution to alleviate allergies of all types and intensities using a blend of selective energy balancing, testing and treatment procedures from acupuncture/acupressure, allopathy, chiropractic, nutritional, and kinesiological disciplines of medicine.

One allergen is treated at a time. If you are not severely immune deficient, you may need just one treatment to desensitize one allergen. A person with mild to moderate amount of allergies may take about 15-20 office visits to desensitize 15-20 food and environmental allergens.

NAET can successfully alleviate adverse reactions to egg, milk, peanuts, penicillin, aspirin, mushrooms, shellfish, latex, grass, ragweed, flowers, perfume, animal dander, animal epithelial, make-up, chemicals, cigarette smoke, pathogens, heat, cold, and other environmental agents. It may take several office visits to desensitize a severe allergen.

At Riner Family Chiropractic we utilize a slightly different technique than NAET. Dr. Riner has never taken NAET but has had several patients go through NAET protocols only to have to repeat treatments later, so Dr. Riner never learned the technique. Since Dr. Riner has had allergies himself he was always searching for allergy protocols that worked long term.

I came about this new allergy technique from other doctors at seminars and they all had great results in a short amount of time. I took the technique and the creator of this technique had taken NAET and found the same problem in his clinic. He said it does work and it has helped thousands of people. It just didnt work good enough for his clinic. He also took a technique called bioset, and newsum. Each technique had something great about it, but still wasn't getting the great results he was looking for. His son had allergies and so far nothing gave him 100% relief, so he took what he learned from all techniques and came up with something that has been amazing so far. In his clinic of over 15 years he has only had to repeat an allergy treatment 2 times! And that was from the patients not following the treatment correctly.

Dr. Boothe was the doctor and is now retired but he called his technique SET-DB (Sensitivity Elimination Technique by Dr. Boothe). As of February 2017 there is only one other doctor in metroplex using this technique. With this technique we are able to eliminate an entire allergen category per visit instead of just one allergen as with NAET. The avoidance period is only 4 hours instead of 25 hours with NAET. So faster treatment times, fewer treatments, with amazing results. I myself have had cedar allergies, began treatments and noticed quick improvements. Although I wasn't 100% after one treatment for cedar, I was about 80%, and now I have several food allergies to clean up. So come on in and finally get some allergy relief!
